Prof Jayashri Kulkarni's election as Fellow to AAHMS

 Congratulations to Professor Jayashri Kulkarni on her election as Fellow to the prestigious Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences (AAHMS)!

This is highly prestigious recognition of her tireless work in Psychiatry Research where among other achievements Jayashri has pioneered the use of hormonal treatments to improve the outcomes for women living with severe mental illnesses, including schizophrenia, depressions, bipolar disorder, menopausal depression and borderline personality disorder (which thanks to Jayashri's work is increasingly known as Complex Trauma Disorder).

Fellows are drawn from all states and territories of Australia, and from all aspects of health and medical science across clinical practice and allied health care, with representation from basic translational and clinical research, health economics, general practice and public health. There are a total of 272 Fellows across Australia.
